Migration is the movement of animals from one place to another. This behavior is an adaptation much like physical adaptations such as camouflage for hiding or sharp beaks for tearing prey. Migration helps insure survival of a species and usually occurs seasonally when animals are looking for areas with more food or water, better breeding conditions, or warmer weather that supports both. Examples of migrating animals are monarch butterflies, wildebeests, whales, and many others. Of course in this study, we are going to explore bird migration.
