My kids love to read about world records - oldest person, largest baby, most venomous snake, you name it. So when it comes to eggs, they want to know what sets some eggs apart from the rest. Which one is biggest and smallest, brightest or best camouflaged? So for this lesson, we are going to eggsplore our top five favorites! Most of these happen to be bird eggs, but we snuck one shark egg on the list! You can work on geography by mapping where each species lives, practice math with weighing and measuring, science by discussing ecosystems and habitats for each species, and art by decorating your own eggs. I love when we have lessons that incorporate such a wide variety of subjects and interests. There’s something for everyone with this nature study!
